Marian finished the season in shortened one run week four make up races. Typically both GS and SL events would be two run races. The Mustang’s won their final events against Orchard Lake St. Mary’s/Sacred Heart consolidated team and Walled Lake Central. Since the return of Olivia Weymouth the Mustang’s went 7-0 and finished the season 7-2 overall.

Captain Olivia Weymouth (senior) led all male and female athletes on the evening once more. Taking a smooth GS win with a 17.04, even beating the nearest male athlete by 0.39. Olivia’s single run slalom win saw a stunning 2.90 second lead on the second place female athlete. Marian’s captain finishes her last regular season undefeated once again. The Mustang’s had several other exciting racers. Ainsle Vanneste (sophomore) matched her earlier best finish ever in week one’s make up events with a 12th overall in GS. She continued her scoring drive with a 17th overall in SL. Ainsle is stacking up consistent scoring efforts. Another amazing effort came from first time varsity starter sophomore Lauren Dee. Lauren was coming off double podiums at the JV Don Thomas Cup. Her first day on varsity netted her 27th overall in GS for Marian’s third score and 23rd overall for the fourth scorer in SL. Junior Emily Anschuetz was the second scorer in SL with an 11th overall. The fourth scorer in GS was Katelyn Triemstra (freshman) in 35th overall. Katelyn was also getting her first varsity starts coming off strong Don Thomas Cup results.

Other notable finishers were sophomore Kara Sigler with some of her best results to date with a 27th in the SL race. Regan Condit (freshman), best was a 39th in GS. Junior Lauren Scolari was 30th overall in SL. Freshman Cera Miotkowski with her first varsity start was 58th in GS. Junior Tessy Klein struggled in both the GS and SL stopping her streaking of scoring efforts.
