Grosse Ile MI, June 26, 2019 – The National High School Athletic Coaches Association, a professional organization of school coaches and athletic directors, (NHSACA) has selected Mr. Leon Braisted III of Bloomfield Marian/Brother Rice High Schools as the National High School Athletic Coaches Association Coach of the Year. The award was presented to Mr. Braisted on June 26th at the Ramkota Conference Center, in Bismarck, North Dakota where the NHSACA Annual Conference hosted over 500 coaches and athletic directors.

 

Congratulations to Bloomfield Marian/Brother Rice High Schools and Mr. Leon Braisted III on your Golf coach’s selection as National Coach of the Year. The selection and nomination for these awards comes from your coach’s constituent sport association in cooperation with the Michigan High School Coaches Association.

 

The NHSACA selection of Mr. Braisted III from Bloomfield Marian/Brother Rice High Schools reflects positively on his school and community. Coach of the Year selections have been based on the performance of their program over the years and/or their contribution to the sport, school, and community. These were some of the criteria to determine your selection. It is indeed an honor to have been selected as National High School Athletic Coaches Association Coach of the Year for the sport of Golf from the entire nation of nominees.

 

The NHSACA is a 54-year-old association with nearly 335,000 members serving as athletic administrators, and all levels of coaches in numerous high schools and junior high/middle schools throughout the United States. Partnering with the Michigan High School Coaches Association, the NHSACA works to promote the educational value of interscholastic athletics and the role of athletic administrators and coaches. The NHSACA and MHSCA are very proud to spotlight Leon Braisted III– a person whose work and values best mirror those of the association.
